Settling In
Parents are encouraged to visit the centre as often as possible prior to your child’s first day of attendance without you.
Signing In and Out
Please sign the attendance register when dropping off and collecting your child.
Transitioning
Several months prior to your child’s next birthday we will start the transitioning process from one area to another.
Communication
Parents are invited to an annual interview with the Teaching and Management team to discuss your child’s development and progress.
Daily Records & Profiles
Children under one have a special notebook for you to take home.
Lunch & Snack Times
Please provide snacks for children attending part sessions, and lunch for children attending morning sessions, and a drink bottle filled with water for your child to drink during the day.

Birthday Celebrations
We love to make a fuss of children enrolled at Whippersnappers on their birthday.
Sleep & Rest Time
Under 2’s typically require a sleep during the day at Whippersnappers.
Sun Sense
We have a ‘no sun hat, no play’ outside policy.
Toilet & Potty Training
Toilet Training begins when appropriate for each child’s age and stage of development.
Behaviour Management
At Whippersnappers we promote positive behaviour in children.
Off to School
We work on familiarising our preschool children with the school environment and the new routines they can expect when starting school.
