Sun Sense

We have a ‘no sun hat, no play’ outside policy. Please include a named sun hat with your child each day in the summer months (October-May). We would prefer if the hat could remain at Preschool to ensure it is not forgotten. We do however have spares if this does not happen but for hygiene reasons is not encouraged.

Please apply sunscreen to your child before dropping them off at Whippersnappers. We will apply further sunscreen regularly throughout the day with your permission (see enrolment form). Staff will ensure activities are placed in shaded areas and that children have access to fresh drinking water at all times. As part of our program, children are educated to be sun smart.
